The Long-Haired Dachshund Classic Cut is a classic cut that enhances the breed’s natural beauty while maintaining comfort and cleanliness.

Within this style, the long fur (called feathering) on the ears, chest, legs, belly, and tail is slightly trimmed a little shorter, but not cut too short; it can make the dog look soft and regal. The tail hair is shaped like a gentle plume, not too fluffy or too sparse. Long hair on the ear was thinned for a neat appearance, avoiding matting and ear infection. Chest and belly hair is evened to avoid a lock on each other.

The aim of this style is to keep the dog elegant and true to its breed while reducing the chances of matting, dirt buildup, and overheating.
